Fiber Cement & Vinyl Siding

There are a few things to look for that indicate your siding is ready to be replaced

1.  Chipping, pealing and cracking

Gaps in the exterior admits moister. It can seep underneath the outer layer. When water gains entry into the home, over time it can cause severe problems. If you find more than a few loose or cracked boards, it maybe time for siding replacement.

2.  Blisters and bubbles

Bubbling under siding can also indicate trapped moister. This can happen when it's exposed to extreme heat or moister. Siding is supposed to prevent moister from entering your home. This is a good indication that your siding is no longer doing its job and needs to be replaced.

3.  Mold or mildew on siding

If you find mold, mildew or fungus on your siding specifically near the seams, might be a sign that water is passing through and trapped inside the wall.

4.  Extremely faded siding

Fading is a sign that the siding’s waterproofing has run its course. it's definitely a good time to consider upgrading your siding before more serious problems happen.

5.  Higher energy bill

Aging siding doesn't insulated your home as effectively. Old or damaged siding can cause your heater and air conditioner to work harder to maintain the same temperature.
